MOH Declares an Epidemic Emergency for Cholera; Prime Minister Holds the Saudi-Led Aggression Responsible

The Ministry of Public Health and Population on Sunday declared a state of emergency from the cholera epidemic in Yemen, while Prime Minister Dr. Abdel Aziz bin Habtoor held the Saudi-led aggression responsible for the massive spread of cholera epidemic and other serious diseases.

The Prime Minister stressed that the aggression and its unjust blockade has had a great impact on the life and health of Yemenis.

Moreover, the Minister of Health Dr. Taha al-Mutawakil said that the incidence of cholera epidemic reached during the three months of 2019 about 162463 people, including 327 people.

The Health Minister noted that more than 1.5 million people have been infected with cholera since 2016, more than 3,000 have died, he said, emphasizing that cholera is a real threat to the lives of millions of Yemenis.
