Hamed Stresses the Need for Humanitarian Org. to Correct Storage Conditions After Rotten Aid Food Found

The head of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic and Chairman of the National Authority for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Ahmed Hamed stressed the need for humanitarian organizations to examine some of the transport and storage procedures regarding the food aid in order to be sure not to be damaged or rotten again.

This came during a meeting with the Regional Director of the Danish Refugee Council, Jerry Garvey, and the Qatari Director of the Council’s Office in Yemen Audrey Krau Ford, who was devoted to discussing ways to enhance coordination between the official authorities and the Council.

The Council called for a greater role in the care and assistance of the most targeted segment of children by the American-Saudi aggression.

The council also called has also called on the support of the response plan announced by the Republic of Yemen earlier this year as a general framework for directing humanitarian assistance.

Mr. Hamed stressed the readiness of the authorities concerned to overcome the difficulties facing the work of the Council to guarantee the arrival of aid faster and to ensure that the aid baskets are not expired not damaged.
