At least 18 killed, injured as Saudi jets target Yemen’s Hudaydah

Yamanyoon- Jan 4, 2018

The Saudi aggression increased attacks on Yemen in the past 24 hours, conducting 25 airstrikes which led to the deaths and injuries of 18 people in al-Hudaydah governorate.

Saudi warplanes launched six attacks on a restaurant in Zabid, a town in Hudaydah, killing nine civilians and injuring nine others, reports said.

The Saudi-led coalition warplanes also carried out two air raids on Jerahi district in the western province, two airstrikes on Nahdeen Mountain and four attacks on Nehm district in the capital, Sana’a.

In another development, the Saudi-led coalition targeted the northern province of Sa’ada and launched two airstrikes on Asawh and Adhiaq areas in Kutaf border district.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than two and half years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against Yemeni people in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
