The Saudi authorities prevented one of the mercenary leadership, who works as the so-called minister of state in the Saudi-pro government of the former ex-president of Hadi, from leaving the kingdom because of his opposition to the Saudi military presence in the al-Mahrah in Yemen.

Al-Jazeera television quoted sources as saying that the Saudi authorities prevented the former “governor of Al-Mahra” and “the current minister of state in the Yemeni government” Mohammed Abdullah bin Kaddah from leaving the kingdom.

Moreover, it added that Mohammed Abdullah bin Kaddah had contacted with leaders from the Saudi puppet Yemeni government, in which he complained about being prevented him from leaving Riyadh after he was assigned by the office of the former Yemeni president Hadi to accomplish few tasks.

Additionally, the al-Jazeera noted that bin Kaddah has been in Saudi Arabia for three months after he was ordered from Hadi to come to the kingdom and was dismissed from his position as the al-Mahrah governor in the mercenary Saudi-backed government. He was then appointed the minister of state in November 2017 after opposing Saudi Arabia’s presence in the eastern province of Yemen.

It is noteworthy that the province of the al-Mahrah has been witnessing a popular movement rejecting the presence of Saudi Arabia and the UAE in the province, where the people of al-Mahrah has confronted the attempts of the Saudi forces to develop military sites and checkpoints in areas within the province.
