Yemen, OCHA Review Bilateral Cooperation

The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Dr. Hussein Muqboli met on Wednesday with the Country Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Yemen George Khoury.

The meeting examined the crimes committed by the countries of aggression against roads and bridges as well as targeting ports and airports.

The Deputy Prime Minister informed the UN official about the critical situation the Yemeni people suffer, which is caused by the destruction of many infrastructure, roads, bridges and hospitals.

The Director-General of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs stated that the United Nations is closely monitoring all acts harmful to civilians and is actively working to accelerate the peace process, alleviate the suffering of citizens and facilitate the entry of food and medicines.

Mr. Khoury stressed that the United Nations agencies in Yemen are working to access the Yemeni people to provide humanitarian and relief assistance.
